Filmmakers Corey Mayne and Barbara Szeman discuss how a 100-strong volunteer film crew helped them adapt the Stephen King story .

The Windsor native is now putting the finishing touches on the short film Willa, based on the Stephen King story, in time for the 2019 film festival season.

“We had a crew of over 100 and trailers on the set,” said Mayne, now based in Toronto.  “It was surreal. The biggest thing I’ve ever done.

“Two indie film makers talk about how a passion project blew up into one of the biggest independent short film productions in history.”
