After graduating from Sheridan College, Corey began his career at Sony Pictures Imageworks and Pixar, contributing to several Oscar-winning productions.
In 2017, he founded Formido Films — a Toronto-based production company with producer Barbara Szeman. He is currently CFO of Pulsar Medical, and a part of the original in-house VFX team at Take 5 Productions — Canada’s leading production company.
Corey recently directed an award-winning adaptation of Stephen King’s ghost story Willa, and is currently developing a slate of elevated genre features with his team at Formido.

Barbara Szeman is a Toronto-based producer and co-founder of Formido Films, established in 2017.
With a background in independent film production, she specializes in developing and delivering ambitious, genre-driven projects from concept through completion. She produced the award-winning Stephen King adaptation of Willa and is currently overseeing the development of Formido Films’ slate of elevated horror, action, sci-fi, and drama features.
